Our mission is to specialize in providing a permanent home on our 10-acre facility, offering food, shelter, veterinary care, and farrier services to unwanted and abused donkeys. We strive to provide public education, rehabilitation, training, and adoption programs for all current and future donkeys! We also invite the community to educational classes, various therapy programs, and social events with our donkeys!

My name is Lorraine, and I am one of the donkey trainers and assistants here at Dahlonega Healing Herd Sanctuary.
Take a hike on our beautiful scenic mountain trail, where you can pose for pictures and interact with a donkey while enjoying the unforgettable, breathtaking views. The moderate trail walk takes about 45 minutes to an hour.
Our donkeys are social, quirky, and enjoy interaction with people. Your visit will include a tour of our sanctuary, and this will allow plenty of time for pictures and hands-on interaction with our donkeys.

An entry fee of $8 per person is required to access the Dahlonega Healing Herds Sanctuary. Additionally, a release of liability form must be signed prior to entry. Handicap access and parking are also available for visitors.
